Despite my best attempts (online games, Skype, MSN, etc.), my summary this morning shows as follows:

Uploaded: 13.85MB
Downloaded: 27.67MB
Combined Total: 41.52MB
Carried Over: 0.00MB
Remaining: 2.96GB

If I carry on like this, 3GB may seem enough! Help!! The last thing I want to do is give ISPs the impression that 3GB is "fine". :rolleyes:
 
one word: DC++ ROCKS! (ok, actually that's 2, but you get my point)

I am on the G9 month to month contract and i am capped already. I download from torrent sites and will install dc++ again and share

:D I'll be back on DC++ soon enough. It ate the last 2GB of my cap last month in less than a week, so no worries there. I just like to keep my bw for games a little longer.

Are you shure your account simply hasnt been updated yet?

You usualy have to resest the modem to get updated bandwidth usage reports.

Then again, Skype gaming etc. doesnt use much cap.. actualyl youd be surprised how much 3gigs is if you dont download torretns or music and vids etc.
 
No, I'm definitely getting the latest stats. I just haven't done any major downloads as of now. That will change toward the end of the month though. :)

In fact, as I think of it, I have to check my Linux installation for updates, and check out the latest demos... so yes, I'll manage somehow to get through my cap. :D

No not usually, it should update fine, however sometimes it is necessary.

And my Skype uses 12-15KB/s upload, that's a lot in my eyes, taking it's per second for however how long i call. I'm on another site where it's always on and you chat to various ppl, so for a whole evening that's a lotta upload bandwidth...
 
hmm.. mine never updates by itself unless I reset, are you always connected? No idle dropping or anything on your router?

Maby I just check too soon and think I have to reset.. but I dont think so, mine often stays the same for days till I reset.

In 6 days? Is that possible... You must have downloaded 3gigs on the caped service in about 4 days..

Not bad. Were you uncaped for a while, or capped straight away?

Anyway, off to the Iburst hub with you then.
 
uncapped for a while, will be on iburst hub later but last time I was on there I got kicked every 2 mins for spamming & I wasn't even typing since I wasn't using my pc, tried to contact the admin but he never replied...

Umm, get another 1GB package and set it up on another computer. Then you download and upload p2p night and day. :D
 
And then change this 3gig to a 1G, I doubt you need 3 gigs if you download everything off another connection.
 
i'm on 21gigs for my 1G pagkage so far! AND this is my official 100th post! (just a bit of useless info)
 
Damn thats good work Trix. Im not even on one gig and this is almost my 2000th post.

Whats the most youve ever done btw trix, shurley this comes close for this early in the month.

Its all due to the hub right?
