What's worse with only using cards is when you get somewhere that doesn't accept cards with no money in your wallet.

They say tv games are useless. But Leisure Suit Larry taught me a valuable lesson. Hide cash in a secret compartment! Yep, I now keep a R100 note in a secret compartment in my wallet, which I never use - even when I run out of cash. I keep it there for emergencies where you save yourself a lot of embarrassment. It's saved my bacon on numerous occasions.

No bank charges on my credit card for normal transactions - and its more expensive to draw money than paying by card.

I'm just so used to paying with a card, today I bought milk and a packet of chips and paid cash for it, the lady gave me the till slip and then I took a pen and signed it. I felt like a complete idiot when I realised what I've done. She just said you don't need to sign it sir!
