Hi guys

I am looking to get Iburst's I-Go-Lite 210MB package @ R195 p/m. Can anyone please tell me what exactly the following means(quoted from http://iburstsa.co.za):

"Once the monthly allowance has been used, the burst rate will be restricted to 64kbps. Additional capacity can be purchased during the course of the month.
The usage allowance as well as the pay per use bandwidth will be implemented during the soft-launch phase"

As I understand it, I will be able to download/browse 210MB @ 1Mbps afterwhich I will be able to download/browse unrestricted obviously only @ 64kbps. This basically means that I will have a permanent uncapped 64kbps connection for only R195 p/m (for some reason this sounds to good to be true)?

Thanks

Afaik the I-Go packages are hardcapped. Once you hit your alloted amount say bye bye to the internet. The 64K thing only applies to the original packages (1Gb, 3Gb, +, etc)

The actual IBurst site is here. What you have there is a reseller.

The first 0.21GB of bandwidth capacity is included monthly. Once the monthly quota has been used there will be no network access. Additional capacity can be purchased during the course of the month. Unused quote is not carried over from month to month. Additional bandwidth purchased is available only in the calendar month in which it is purchased

Ye was too good to be true... well that would have been nice though.

Are you still going to consider that package? Or where you looking for high usage?

Thanks for the info.

Obviously i will not be getting the I-Go-Lite package now:mad: . The interesting thing is however that I mailed [email protected] and asked them this question:
"When the monthly 0.21GB allowance has been used, will I still be able to download files and browse unrestricted obviously only at 64kbps?"

Their response:
"Yes"

Good thing I came to you guys first!

heh heh. Always good to have a reseller who doesn't know the product ;P

Have, have a look at:

http://www.iburstsouthafrica.co.za/package-igo-lite-iburst/

It says in the last info block:
Once the monthly quota has been used ther will be no network access. Additional capacity can be purchased during the course of the month. Unused quota is not carried over from month to month. Additional bandwidth purchased is available only in the calender month in which it is purchased.
