I hate being a Soweto iBurst user
If everyone thinks I have more speeds than everyone
My connection is stable than anybodys
I P2P with ease and I have an unfair advantage when it comes to speed
I'm not a happy iBurst user because I have the 1 Mbit connection
I'm happy because
I love being a Soweto iBurst user
:D
Inspired by the new Hansa advert

Er, sorry, got a bit distracted by the mountain there...

My tower (Mark Heights) is awesome. Besides the disconnection problem which is sorted out now everythings been perfect. Speeds are great and living in the same building that has the tower is definitely a bonus.

I was having quite alot of disconnections earlier this month but apparently some techies were out here a week ago and they must have fixed it cos its been fine since then. I would guess that Cape Town doesn't have the same amount of subscribers as Gauteng (I was 14th at my reseller) and most definitely not the congestion you have on one or two of the problem towers there. My suspicion is that congestion has a lot to do with performance. According to the Kyrocea website each tower can handle up to 24mbps so you do the math.

Its still early days though so I'll see if they can keep up the performance when more users subscribe. If things go downhill like Sentech I won't hesitate to cancel and get adsl. I might just do that anyway so I can get a 20 or 30 gig account.
