Tried to install under xp sp 2 compat mode and tried win 95,98,2000 modes as well??

here is the solution, install the game on another pc and take out the folder from the program files(4.xx gigs)and place this whole folder in your program files of vista, then open it up from the folder and make shortcuts of the multiplayer exe and single player exe and place this on your desktop...and play, simple easy no fuss,i do it,and i see that other games work lke that to.

Only goes to show how "Microsoft logic" has corrupted our troubleshooting skills. No wonder MCSE graduates get paid 3k per month...

Oi... only qualifications I have are MS ones, no matric...nuffin... and I get paid damn well... then again... I do have MCSA; MCSE; MSCD; MSDBA... me forgets the rest... and I'm not working in any of those fields anymore.. :p

...MSDBA...

That one alone is probably worth more than the rest combined :D

But seriously, I was referring to qualified guys with no experience. There used to be a time when companies fell over each other to hire you if you had MCSE, regardless of experience. I remember some of my buddies starting out at R14k per month, and this was in NT4 days.

Read through the Jobmail - you'll be shocked at what techs are offered.

I blame it on the internet, you used to need to know your stuff to pass, now you can get all the exam questions online, learn them off by heart, and get a 100%. Hence the reason demand has died for them.

Could also have something to do with the number of people qualified versus the number of jobs available. 400 to 1 is the last estimate I heard. But then also, let's face it, a certification that doesn't actually require you to know what you're doing isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

In my previous job I had to interview people for tech positions where MCSE was a requirement. The handfull of of applicants who had even modest troubleshooting skills were almost always guys who either have lots of real experience, some Cisco or Linux experience or started out *before* Windows came along.

It would help if the guy actually responded to already stated possible solutions.
