I wrote ICASA.
This is what I wrote:
I would like to go on record that this increase in service price starting today (1 Nov.) is crippling to both business and personnal broadband usage in South Africa.
Having recently moved here from the United States, it makes you wonder if this is the way that things are done here in South Africa, then the rest of the continent is in serious trouble. No wonder people in America laugh when I tell them about this, and makes them less sympathetic to social concerns for the continent in general when you have blatant corruption or disregard for long term economic advancement.
Shame on ICASA and South Africa for letting this happen. A true step backwards, again, for Africa.
Concerned, Aaron.
