Me neither, they will probably have to entend the deadline as many people I've spoke to have yet to RICA their number, either because of laziness or paranoia (OH NOES! THE ANC GONNA TAP MY PHONE!). I seriously doubt they will shut off that many phones as it will be bad for business or that at least explains incentives are being offered.

An ordinary letter addressed to you will do (that's what i used)

Don't wait for the last minute to RICA your phone number.Do it NOW.If you leave it for the last minute,your phone number will be suspended.You have to wait in a dedicated RICA que,just like voting but this wait in the que will be worse. 1 Jan 2011 falls on a Saturday.Stores will be bombarded from Sunday and store owners will tell you to piss off or they will charge you because they are not doing any sales.What if the RICA system gets over loaded because of last minute registering.SYSTEM goes offline.....You get pissed because you waited so long in the que.

If you dont want to have these problems visit your nearest cellphone store today and RICA your number.

irrespective of rica all telecoms including net will be accountable. check the rica act for info.
