Location
Big bay / in Cape Town
I have an iPhone 5S - love it. Would prefer to get the iPhone SE. ONE DAY!
I bought my fourth gig data on Thursday
Today at 6:44 i had less than 298mb of data remaining.
I only use cellular for Email and Facebook surfing.

The norm for me is max three gigs of data.
A friend of mine lost a gig in ONE DAY!!!

I have complaint to Vodacom. They have referred me to their tips on how to save data.
I killed siri
I killed wi fi assist
i dont watch videos on cellular
I dont have location services on
I upload very few pics.
I dont stream podcasts via cellular

What am I doing wrong that my iPhone is forcing me to rethink my sanity regarding cellular service charges for data. ? Or am I simply stucked in the new improved Bermuda Triangle?

I think Facebook settings are a potential issue. Don't use it myself but if i have heard of it.

Check your iCloud settings. Maybe your backing up to iCloud or your photos videos get uploaded each time.

Check your per app data usage. Might give an indication of what's using your data.

It's not Siri.

Did you restore from a backup at some point between versions?

I'm betting you have iCloud syncing over cellular on.

Settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive > Right at the bottom.
