I could install it again ...but it wouldn't be the same.

A new elder Scrolls are coming out ... but I'm not going to pay a monthly subscription of over R200 (or maybe even more) to play it.

:(

I'm sad.

EDIT: There are only two gaming franchises which game play had me scared.

1: The Elder Scrolls - Oblivion & Skyrim (the dungeons, crypts and caves)
2: Alien vs Predator (The Alien hiss is piss scary, especially if you haven't yet glimpsed it yet)

Go play Morrowind.

I've seen the Elder Scrolls since it started.

It's no use going back.

And I've installed so many Skyrim mods ... nothing new is worth installing the whole game from scratch anymore.

You like old school?

Realms of the Haunting is probably one of the best games ever made.

Maybe it's time for you to start playing Outside.

Elder Scrolls: Online is total garbage. Worst MMO I've played in a long time.

Skyrim can be quite a different experience if heavily modded. I finished Skyrim on PS3 first, then did it again pimped out on PC. Totally different.

"Don't" start to play Mass Effect. For me it is the only thing that comes close to Elder Scrolls. Play 2 hours of the first game then if you like it, stop and read the first book; then continue playing. 2nd book + 1st comic then 2nd game etc.

You can tell most people on this forum don't know what "mods" are. If you did, no sane man would make a post like this, ever.

And if Skryrim scared you, Silent Hill and Amnesia would make you piss your pants in 10 minutes. Hell I think Resident Evil 4 or Dead Space would manage to scare you. Looks like you are not cut out for horror.

I'm easily scared. To give you an example ...

In AvP 1 - - - I first started with a Marine. You start off by finding yourself in a large hall-like room that is pitch black. I started and restarted the game plenty of times, and every time shot my whole inventory of illuminating flares off within the first couple of seconds. Before I've even engage an Alien I had uninstalled the game and left in on the shelf.

Only a couple of months later on did I scrounged up the courage to play (and finish) the full game in all three modes (Alien, Predator and Marine).

Weird - I never associated Skyrim with being scared.

What about the witcher maybe? Haven't played it but seem similar to Skyrim.

you tried dark souls?
if you want tense, try dead island

Dead Island? is this a joke? Nothing against the game (have over 30 hours in it) but I wouldn't even recommend it as a horror game. And Dark Souls? This is a very difficult game, but not a horror game. Are you recommending stuff on your own personal experience or just throwing names out there ?

Actually looking at the OP I don't even know why "scary games" came up. If someone enjoyed Skyrim a lot I would simply recommend older ES titles or Fallout.

I found Dead Island pretty intense at times. Going into those sewers alone on the second map was pretty scary. The tenseness disappears entirely when you're playing co-op, though.

First-world problems...

Seriously? And what of it? We lead a first-world lifestyle so why can we not discuss so-called 'first-world problems?' I really hate when people throw out this quip, feeling like they're being witty, when in fact they're being idiots. Anyone who says 'first-world problems' should be shot.

Dead Island? is this a joke?

Hahaha! Dead Island was good and it was funny at times, intense as well but not too scary.

I played Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly years back on PS2. Now that scared the **** out of me.

Or try playing Silent Hill 2 in stereo late at night with the lights off. The sound effects are awesome!

How is Skyrim on PS3? Not really interested in playing online. Does it have single-player campaign?

Er.. Skyrim is a single player game. It's pretty average on PS3. The mods for PC make it the obvious choice.
