Here at school our principal flately refuses to give internet access to school kids. There was an 'incident' before I started (some years ago) at the school and the school got quite some flak because of it.

Anyway he won't even trust content filters. Children are sneeky bastards.

Picard, if you take a look at dansguardian, you will see that it is a content filter.

If it is installed on smoothwall, and all the PC's only have access via this smoothwall to the Internet, then there is no way that you can bypass the content filter.

Also, you can selectively block certain sites, and you can add your own words to the vocabulary.

I have used it with great success, but be cautioned - you need a PC with more than enough RAM to run the content filter.
 
Send me the links and I'll tell you if it contains good pr0n or not. I'm an expert at recognizing pr0n :D
 
DansGuardian works. Trust me. My school had it and it worked to well. And after 5 years with it only 1 guy managed to get past it
