Boys and girls I need a more organised routine.

Here's what I currently do, bear in mind this has helped me from 98kg to 90kg in the last year. I do this:
Get on the treadmill, walk for 5 minutes to warm up and then run for 20 minutes. I'm lying, I run until I'm tired as a mofukka, but it is usually around the 20 minute mark.
I then rest for about 5 minutes.
I then grab the first machine which I can find to exercise my upper-body and do three to five sets of 12 reps - today it was shoulder presses
I take another break
The I ride bike for another 20 minutes or until I'm moertoe, whichever comes first.

I can either continue doing this or get more organised, thing is my wife joined me from today, so I'd like to find a common routine which we can both do together. Most of the upper body workout I'll probably have to do alone as she's more concerned about her tummy and all that nonsense.

So any advice? I'm not really looking to build muscle, I'm happy in that department, I'd just like to keep fit.

so an activity that you and the wife can do together that can help keep fit?

.......

does it have to be at gym? suppose you can do it there as well...:crylaugh:

LOL, we've had to cut down on that. After the vasectomy we don't do it more than twice a day anymore, else my balls start to ache and walking becomes a chore.

dude then something went wrong. you better have it checked out. that's not normal.

I used to use an app called jefit. It helped me quite a bit to see which exercises/machines to use and there are a lot of plans on there which you can choose from. but what helped me the most when the wife joined the gym as well is to have a personal trainer for a couple of months to show us what to do.

Do 100 calories on the bikes, then do the circuit with low weights. Cool down with treadmill for about 10 minutes on a brisk walk.

Of course this means little if you do not follow a suitable diet. Cut out sugar and carbs as far as possible for maximum effect.

Yeah, a friend recommended I use that app as well. I've downloaded it and will check it out. Thanks

Yeah, thanks. This sounds good.

Except for what I get in via fruit I don't consume any sugars at all (no cake, chocolate, cool drink, etc), We do consume a fair amount of carbs through potatoes and pasta though.
