Hey Guys, so pretty much been low blown by the standard 4mb thresholds mweb puts on its customers and thinking its about time to move along, is anyone able to help with ideas?

Im currently on mwebs 2mb premium account of R369 p/m and looking for something close in that line that wont be affected with +- 200GB a month, aswell as gaming as a good priority (PSN). Suggestions will be appreciated as i cannot seem to find a solid answer...

I used to be on Mweb 4mbps premium uncapped. Moved to Telkom Internet and have had no problems, considering the price.

I switched to Telkom. I cannot say if they are any better or worse than Mweb in the long run at this stage? But so far - torrent traffic with good peer 2 peer, numbers seems solid enough, there is shaping but not to the extent Mweb did. Also it can distinguish between gaming torrent updates and normal p2p I am talking a 1.9gb war thunder torrent update flying at full speed compared to Mwebs... Well you know.
Am I happy I made the switch, meh, unfortunately they are no better or worse than Mweb USED to be. But they are 100x better than where Mweb finds themselves now :) I honestly think you cannot go wrong who you choose. I was close to taking Afrihost... It really was just a toss of a coin.

I'm thinking the same with the bundle included, just want to check what the current cost of my ADSL is and see from there as I know mweb for my line is 369 but forgot what I'm paying for the line rental

Looks like business it is uncapped business 4mb and line rental works out to 166 more off my bill awesomeness

Cant find much solid reviews on that account...downloads run during night time which matches the description but as for during the day browsing and youtube would be interesting to find out that aswell as the PSN online play...

WebAfrica....

I have my uncapped 4MB service through them and I can do everything I want/need to. ;)

Yes they are a little on the expensive side BUT I have been with them forever and a day and I have never had problems. And that 1 time that you might need support, they are completely on the ball with everything.

150GB + on a slow month, 300GB + on a good one.

But then again as well, if I do dl's, I do them in the off peak hours between 12 and 6.

A more or less average, I have done 1TB dl's in give or take 6months.

If I'm not mistaken, you can get a webafrica capped trial account, so you can go and check it out.
When i lived in jhb my pings where crappy with them :(

The reason i recommended the afrihost business uncapped was because its unshaped and unthrottled ( as good as capped accounts), you can also get a trial account from them(1gig free every month). I use it as a backup account xD
