lets say If each card consumes 150w, then two 1kw power supplies should be enough. 1050w for the graphics, and the rest for hard drives, cpu, mobo led lights , etc

At full tilt? Nah. You would need much more than 150W per card but anyway it depends on the GPU card too. Six 4870 X2's should do it fine for now until the new Nvidias arrive!
