I'm at a loss for words here. I live in Randpark Ridge and I'm looking for a wireless modem for my house. I dont understand the whole MWEB, Neotel set stuff??

I want to connect Samsung Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Note phone to it. Then I want to connect one of them to my Samsung DLNA Blu Ray player. The reason for this is so that I can stream music/ video etc from both of these devices (one at a time) to my Blu Ray and watch on my flatscreen. while maintaining internet access.

I tried to use my phone as a hotspot to the tab, then stream content from the tab via Allshare to the Blu Ray but I cant connect my tab to the note and to the blu ray???.
I seem to be able to use Allshare from both devices directly through the Blu Ray to the TV but then Im not connected to the internet.

Someone told me I need a wireless modem. Am I making sense? Frigging hell, Im not sure what Im actually looking for. When I do find out which wireless broadband supplier do I use? Neotel and iBurst is the only 2 I think can do it?

If someone can make out what Im babbling about, would you be able to help please! I have all these expensive and wonderfull gadgets with not idea how to do the above!

Do you just want to stream to your bluray player? Or do you want to have internet as well?

To get internet access into your place, and with the lack of landline; yes you need a wireless modem. Which you would then connect to a (ta-daaa!):p wireless router. To which you would then wirelessly connect your various toys. :)

Of course the devil is in the details. Onto which the conversation can be moved, if you want.

There's an iBurst BS in Randpark Ridge, on top of Randridge Mall; and that's without the other BSs in the area, you may have decent connectivity there. GOTCHA: expect to hear a LOT of (usually very valid) hating on itBust, people have had some utterly execrable results from them in terms of data. And that's before you even *shudder* think about their accounts department. Or it could work out; I know of (and have) places around town where it works just fine.

As to NeoHell, I have no idea; they make it difficult to get any usable data but it looks like you would want their NeoFlex [-]modem/router[/-] gateway to get a device that you can use to feed a decent, modern router. This is the best coverage-related map I could find:

Hi There,
Yes you will need a wireless router even if you did not want to connect to the internet.
Everyone has stories about how bad a provider is in a particular area so I would take all those comments with a pinch of salt. Approach the people at iBurst in Randpark ridge and ask them if they can provide you with some people in your street using their sservvice and then ask them for their experiences.
Amobia is a common one and they do have your area covered.

Regards

Tim
