I need an upgrade. But what?

So I've been playing some of The Division Open Beta, and it has made me realise that I am in desperate need of an upgrade.

My current system specs are as follows

MoBo: Gigabyte Z86P-DS3
CPU: Core i7 2600 #3.4GHz
Ram: 12 Gig DDR3 (Can't remember brand off Top Head)
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6850 (1024 MBytes, GDDR5)
HDD: A few, primary 250 SSD

Now the problem My budget is not high at all. R2000 - R2500. I can't help but feel that my best bang for buck will be upgrading the graphics card, as ungrading anything else, almost means a system overall. But suggestions and thoughts are welcome.

I have been out of the loop for many years when it comes to hardware, and what is and isn't good now days, so I have no idea what to even look at.

CPU, RAM and SSD is fine, that GPU is old.

Everything there is strong except the graphics card. It need a serious upgrade.

Like everyone else mentioned, upgrade the GPU.
Carbonite would be your best bet for a GPU.

For your budget I would suggest maybe a second hand R9 280 from carbonite, they have some really nicely priced parts there

This is a decent recommendation, though the jump up in GPU power isn't anything close to 2x the power, it's closer to 1.5x most of the time. The R7 370 is equivalent to the R7 265, which I own myself.

I would rather save up for one of these puppies:

PowerColor Radeon R9 380 PCS+ 4GB GDDR5 @ R3799

Having more VRAM is increasingly becoming an advantage these days.
