Do you need to set up your BIS for the BES to work?? Please I have been struggling for a week now to setup the e-Mail on a clients phone . . .

You dont need BES unless you are using a Blackberry enterprise server to host your emails.
You can use BIS and receive and send using imap with any email provider.

I got the Blackberry enterprise server (BES) but the Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) is not set up. . . so the phone's serves status at Blackberry enterprise server it shows not connected . . . do you need Blackberry Internet Service for it to connect?? or can you use your mobile data??

Nope, BES includes all BIS service's so in essence you do have BIS active, the only addition is the access to enterprise server.
Do you have other blackberry devices set up on the enterprise server? are you able to use BBM on the blackberry?
Has the ISP confirmed you have BES active?

Yes I do have other devices set up on the enterprise server and they work but it only 1 device that doesn't want to work . . . but I think it because the BIS is not set up the client is going to get that set up with his SP and will let you know on Monday if it works . . .

And thank you for helping me :D . . .

No problem.
Just remember as I mentioned, BIS is included in BES. so that means it wasn't set-up/activated at all.

Shout if you need more help.

I think the client did not have BES activated from the service providor. Have it all the time here, Tell them to get BES activated on their SIM card.

If you have a BES express server you can activate them on the BES server using BIS.
