I need to make an invoice

A friend of a friend is doing contract work for one of his employers and I had to lend him one of my vehicles to transport some of his staff. We already have a sort of contract for the amount, but I didn't think it'd be this formal

In order for him to claim the money from the employer he needs an invoice from me.

I've never invoiced anybody.

Any suggestions?

You need to have the folowing on the invioce:
Your full names
Street address
Company reg no (if it is a company)
VAT no (if you have one)
Date

His Name (company/Individual)
His address
VAT number

Date of service
Description of service
Amount

You don't have a company name or VAT number I suppose.

So on the invoice don't charge VAT and only call it an invoice not Tax Invoice.
