I sent this email 2 telkom complaining abt there poor services [:D]
But i still have no reply.. i wonder y [:D]

To ADSL feedback...

I have no idea what kind of stunt you are pulling here, but the quality of ADSL

has dropped drastically in the last month.

Not only in gaming, but in international and national WebPages viewing.

As a gamer, I do not see the difference between surfing the net and playing games online, but for some reason..

The lag im getting on ADSL at 3am in the morning in worse than what I got on my 56k at 8 am. This service is appalling and I demand

some decent answers..

I have tested Adsl with various kinds of programs, and I get the same result from each program. ADSL is unstable and unreliable.

How can you claim to offer a service that is meant to be "superfast" when it goes slower than a 56k modem??

Yes, I can DL at 512kb but what does that prove? Who wants speed if you don't have stability?

The last time I sent an email like this... I got a reply giving me a link to your terms and conditions. I was totally blown away by the lack of quality from such an email. For 1, the person who sent me the mail should know, that im not going to read through your entire terms and conditions just to find something, that im not even looking.

What I am saying is that telkom is giving poor services and unstable connections. This kind of services is not wanted and if not changed gamers of the SA community that have Adsl will all turn to ISDN as it is slower but it gives 10x better results than ADSL does. (Please explain why? I would like to know)

Im very eager and waiting on a reply...

An unsatisfied Customer

I dont think telkom has an answer 4 me.. cuz they know im right.. [:o)]

Hi Ultra-Lord

This is one of our main complaints. We are struggling as well with replies from them. We only received the media response and are still waiting on a reply from them to our open letter and subsequent follow on’s.

We will publish all replies here, and will continue to seek better communication from Telkom.

My biggest question to telkom. is...
How can they even think, let alone do wat they have done..
Did u know that telkom places 3 users to a port??

I mean its not even debateable.. thats just out right poor quality service and stupid..

other ISP's like imaginet r offering 1 user per port..
im gettin them on monday and then update you all abt there service

The problem with ADSL lies with Telkom, not the ISP's. All ISP's that offer ADSL service have to buy the accounts in bulk from SAIX (Telkom) and resell it (Even if this changes in the future, we will still have to use Telkom ADSL lines). So, no matter which ISP you use, you will still get a bad service on ADSL. The ISP's have got no say in anything about the ADSL.

So an account with MWeb, TelkomSA, Imaginet, or any other ISP, you will still get the same service.

(Although, I have had very few complaints about ADSL from my subscriber, but then again, most of my subscribers went to ADSL from analogue leased lines, and they use the net MOSTLY for browsing and e-mail.)

well i found this info on the sgs gaming forum

one of the things that makes ADSL slower for some and better for others.
there is basicaly levels of service you receive.
PVC1 =1to1
PVC2 =1to4
PVC3 =1to10
PVC4 = "this is what you get put on when you reach you're cap"
1to1 means you get 1 ADSL acount for 1 user.
1to4 means you get 1 ADSL acount for 4 users
you need to check with you're ISP which one you're on.

PS. I have heard SAIX uses PVC2

To acknowledge a complaint is to acknowledge a fault.
