The number of registered voters is about 23 million.
58 million ballot papers printed. Presuming there are 2 papers per person, it means that there are 25% more than needed.
And now they are running out of ballot papers and boxes !!
What is going on?

what about those ballot papers found in KZN (i think) that were marked IFP, could that be the stash.

Personally I think it was just bad planning. Stations in many provinces have too many, while stations in other provinces have too few. A lot of people also didn't vote at the station where they registered due to the last minute concession that you could vote where you want, resulting in many stations being flooded by voters. Unfortunately if you have a shortage in Gauteng and you have an excess in another province, it takes some time to get them distributed.

@waynegohl: that was only like 50 ballot papers IIRC. The ones that fell off the truck only 1000. So doesn't account for the millions extra.

cool i did not here the whole story only that they found some and were investigating. thanks man.
