I think I have found out what is going wrong with erroneous data charges.

The extra data charges have been for connections made in previous billing cycles that were not cslculated for their statement. (Some over two months ago.) Now, instead of being calculated at in bundle rates (Which they were.) yhey are being calculated in out of bundle rates.

Also, last week I was told that because of the backlog my query wiuld be addressed in a week, now they are telling me twenty days. I guess I will have to cancel my data bundle since their systems are so unreliable.

Your first statement is correct as I have stated before on this forum.

Your last statement is incorrect to a point. You will not get any answers to your query. Your ref. no. will also dissapear.

I locked my sim in my safe for 2 weeks and used prepaid. MtnActive still deducted MB's from my contract sim for 2 weeks. That is how slow the system is.

I have mentioned this exact problem in another post. I have charges now coming from March that was definitely NOT out of bundle at the time.

Also logged an online query (just for the record). Before they billed me I went to the MTN shop to complain. The idiot there told me there are no other charges, whilst I could see and (subsequently this month) were billed for.

Have your bank send you an sms for all transactions and when MTN deducts an amount you have queried, then you have it reversed at the bank pronto. On the bottom of your bill is MTN's account details. Pay your normal amount cash into their account. Use your cell number without the zero as your ref. No.
