I want uncapped p2p, NOW!

Thanks for the link, but I don't have R 6759.00 per month to spend for downloading torrents and p2p. I have about R600 a month. I'm going to buy an IS account from nukeap for browsing, then I'm going to rape my 3GB adsl to 50GB with payvpn. Thanks anyway.

i was kind of expecting that ... but just to make you realise that for uncapped/unshaped ... at human prices .. you'd have to go live in a land far far away

I already live there, I don't want to move again, my birth into this country was far enough :)

How?

Two questions:

1) What is payvpn and how does it work?:confused:
2) How would you do all this for R600 p/month?

I would do all this for R235 per month (I've got R600 per month to use)
PayVPN is a service from www.nukecap.co.za that unshapes your SAIX adsl line for R60 per month, without paying sick amounts of money, here's the description of payvpn:
http://nukecap.cheetah-is.co.za/forum_viewtopic.php?27.2172

I need to browse and download a few megs after being capped, and lucky me always gets capped @ 3GB, maybe it will be different once I actually go out to download like a mad man.
An IS account from nukecap is R175 per month(for a 2GB shaped account) Payvpn does not work with IS, but IS can use openbrowse(browse internationally after you've been capped) I think it's R90 per month.

That's how I'd do it, milk my SAIX line and browse with IS once capped.
Looking @ openweb IS aswell, heard that their speeds are good.

So does PayVPN allow you to download and browse on your SAIX account after you've been capped? Surely there must be a limit.

I'm ordering ADSL today. Was thinking of going with the following package:
* HomeADSL 192
* ISP = AYCE 30GB account
* PayVPN

Sudt: Your requirements seem to be the same as mine (i.e. general browsing, lots of p2p and occasional VOIP). Do you think the package above is suited for my needs or could i achieve the same results with a cheaper package?

Payvpn will not allow you to browse after you've been capped, only the IS accounts work that way, then you would use browsingvpn(nukecap) and openbrowse (openweb) :)

Thanks for the info.:D

But what is your answer to this?:

I'd say go with AYCE if you've got the cash, I don't. You never really know when you will be capped on telscum ADSL, and you will benifit by having 30GB, it's possible to get 30GB or even a 100GB on a 3GB ADSL, but you never know @ 3GB you might be capped. I'm gonna pay for payvpn today, I'll tell you how it is :)

If u want uncapped. Go www.INX.co.za
Their a bit pricey but their service is excellence through the roof.

But if u only have 600 bucks then i'd recommend going for a allyoucaneat 30gb account. It's the most ure gonna get out of ure $$'s.

Woohoaaa! Seems like an awesome package!! I just wish i had the R1450 :eek: (R1653 incl. VAT) p/month to spend on an ISP but alas.......I'm not THAT desperate for decent broadband.

I'd rather move overseas before paying that much (unless of course i was running a business which required ADSL access)!:D

Nah, max i can afford is R1250 p/month in total (incl. line rental, ISP, etc.) but looking to try and only spend around R1100 so i'm just trying to figure out the best package i can put together for under my max amount. So far, it seems as though AYCE is the way to go unless anyone has some suggestions;) .

INX uses IS

IS uses Sat connection for international. My current torrent download is a crappy 1.9k/s :P

1.9k/s!! That is baaaad! Reminds me of the days when i used Sentech MyWireless!:eek:

Does anyone know how torrents perform on the AYCE 30GB account? How bad is the shaping on AYCE?

The payvpn stats are in!

I use utorrent currently downloading a 300mb torrent @ 35kB+ (avg download speed is 25kB), but the download speed stays in the 30's. Not a bad service at all, considering I got less than 10kB before. The download should complete in about an hour and a half. It's a sucky tracker and no ones seeding, so I guess it's good :)
Just bought a one month 3Gb 25Gb account from openweb, which cancel's itself at the end of the month :)

Good show boys :D

im on AYCE and im a regular p2p'er. lets just put it like this: on any given day (or rather night) when i'm dloading torrents of some nice series i sometimes find myself cruising at about 40KBps, and even more when i'm dloading more than one torrent. i'm on the 512kbps line
