Thanks. Is this Teddy Licks?

+1 for ambassador foods in parkview, at the woolies entrance. or at irene mall next to the pick n pay.

This thread reminds me of that Lady Gaga Song :

I want your nuts and I want your raisins.

Found another nut place c/o garstfontein and rubenstein at the checkers centre. They also have dried fruit.

Montagu dried fruits, Moreleta Plaza (where the checkers is). I am not sure on the price per kg but the Wifey says it's cheaper than food lovers market at Woodlands.

I buy all my nuts from Fruit and Veg. Cashews at R99.00p/kg is the best that I can found here near me in Cape Town.

You can buy 500g packet of mixed nuts from PnP, they are grade 2 but are not bad at all for R50

Nuts have gone up a lot in price. I found that the cheapest place to get them is outside of the main cities. Rent in JHB is higher and people are willing to pay more so shops generally charge a lot more. If you ever drive out to hartebeespoort Dam check out a place called Jasmyne. Its a huge windmill near the doxa dea school, you can't miss it. They often have extremely well priced dried fruit, nuts, fresh fruit and veggies, and even their own brand of cheese that is reasonably priced. We go out there on occasion and always top and stock up there. Guess its cheaper due to proximity to the farmlands of something.

And its a great place for photos. Just remember to hold your nuts.

@GreenBean - do you have a contact nr or address for Teddy's? I can't seem to find them on the internet.
