i5 Cracked screen repair Bloem

My daughter in Bloem dropped her i5. Even a portable HDD has received the same treatment from her, some years ago and the screen of her more than 8 year old laptop hangs on only one hinge.
What is the most affordable place to get it fixed in Bloem ??? The prices are just absurd, even Procell quotes me R 990.
Apple addicts are there just to be ripped off IMHO.

If you confident in your repair skills, you can order the parts online and do it yourself? It is a pretty simple repair.

Yeah, I've seen a video online. Steady hands and the correct screwdriver is all you need.

You ask the apple guys for help and then tune us we're addicts and like to be ripped off... I've done a screen replacement myself cost me under 500... You won't be able to do it cheaper

If the avatar reflects your residential environment, you are close to heaven. Here in the highveld, it's still cold and freezing early mornings. Northern KZN is definitely the place to be in winter.

Absurd? That's an excellent price to have it done by someone experienced.

OK, everything is relative then. My daughter negotiated it to be done for R 950 somewhere. Couldn't wait till her brother would try to fix it with the instructions and order from the web.
