Hi all,

I live in Ireland and have recently received an iPhone 4s as a work phone. When I moved to Ireland I kept my @iafrica.com e-mail address and would now like to receive those e-mails on my iPhone, however I don't know what smtp and pop settings to use as the standard ones don't seem to work.

Any ideas?

I've tried them already and they don't work :(

Apparently it has to do with my carrier network here (Vodafone) so I have to find out from them what settings to use.

Does your incoming mail work?

It is quite possible that, unless the SMTP allows you to authenticate to it that your IP range may not be allowed to relay mail through it. I haven't worked with iafrica Emails in years though, so cannot remember if you need to or can authenticate to it.

smtp.mweb.co.za, smtp.mweb.net and smtp.iafrica.com resolve to the same server, which if I am not mistaken, is hosted in SA.

You use the same incoming settings as you would use in South Africa ie pop3.iafrica.com

For outgoing email it is completely different - you need to use the smtp address of whoever you are using to connect to the internet with. Ask whoever is providing your internet service what their network outgoing smtp settings are.
