hi guys, this is quite an old laptop i recently got, it has only 64mb ram and is running XP, which is dodgy as hell

Does anyone know where i could possibly buy memory for an old laptop like this?

I'd imagine that's PC100/PC133 Look at www.sybaritic.co.za they had SODIMM modules last time I checked.

You should still be able to get memory for it (you may pay a bit of a premium for oldy mouldy memory though). Just make sure you get the exact match; here is a site that could be helpful:

e-bay is also a good place to look for legacy upgrades --- though shipping problems/expenses often wipe out any supposed cost advantages.

XP in 64MB? Frightening! I had a 770Z with 128MB (recently deceased, sniff) and even Win98 was a dying dog on that; zippy with linux though.
