IBurst account total mess up

This is a long and drawn out story, but the crux of it is that I requested my account to be cancelled in November due to a mess up with my billing. I was contacted to agree that there was mess up with the billing and I was asked how I would like to arrange payment. We came to terms with the idea being that my last payment of R475 was to go off on the 1st of Jan. Surprize surprize this was not done and I was billed over R800 on the 4th of Jan. And my account is still open!! I no longer want my account, all I want to pay the correct amount and close the account. My iBurst modem has been in the bin since mid December.

Who can possibly help?

EVERYONE I know who cancelled recently was not cancelled properly.

I even physically went in, got proof of cancellation the month before (Nov) and still found myself paying for the next (calendar) month (Jan). Twasn't a fantastic joy sorting that mess out............

Sad to hear it's an even more widespread issue than I thought....

Yeah it does seem to be quite an issue these days.

Happily it seems my issue has been sorted. I will know for sure on Monday if the correct amounts have been refunded and my account closed.
 
I'm in the same boat. I've emailed the guy on here about it and talked to Iburst with no help so I've set a deadline of next Friday for them to pay me my money or my lawyers are going to rip them a new one but that doesn't really bother me as my insurance company tried this out on me and the judge forced them to pay R100000 in one day of court fee's. I hope Iburst are greased up and ready!
