So I have been playing EVE Online for years and decided to buy a PS3 so I can see what DUST 514 is all about. This isn't the only reason I bought one, but it helped.

One problem, I can only play the game between 12am and 8am. As soon as 8am rolls around I lag out and cannot connect to any of the games. I can connect and buy equipment and view other stuff (lets call this the lobby) but when I try and join a game it dies.

I have logged a call with iburst, will this help?

Sounds like the game is triggering iBurst's P2P shaping, PM r00igev@@r:
I choose c - Have the techs do their P2P thing but exclude the known big games and their servers by default and add games when people complain about it! Because a sucks and b is also not really an option.
This has been implemented - if you have something that is not working PM me.

So advanced supported wanted to run wireshark on my Mac so they can see what the traffic is doing on my ps3.

The only packets I saw from my ps3 were broadcasts while it was looking for a dhcp address. So I have no clue how this will help.

Should I be worried that advanced support don't actually know how the Internet works or did I do something wrong?

Is there any way you can get the PS3 traffic to go through your Mac?
Maybe share the internet connection on your Mac, then tell the PS3 to use your Mac's wifi?

I know this is completely off topic, but wrong time to buy a console, new ones out in less then 6 months.

Thanks for the suggestion, I managed to do this this morning and I have sent the log through to them. It's amazing how much traffic gets generated.

Lets hope they can now sort it out

Please keep us posted on this. I had no issues playing DUST 514 when it was still in beta. The minute it went "live" i cannot connect to any games anymore.

Well we all know how efficient iburst is, it been over a week now and still no solution. Guess it's due to the fact that the techie dealing with my call has gone on leave.

Good Day & thank you for your email, I am currently out off the office from 13 June 2013 until 20 June 2013,

To tell you the truth I am not at all surprised.

EDIT: Only way to play DUST is to get up early and get a few rounds in before going to work. Or in like yesterday, get up early and play till the 8am when iburst decides you can't play any more

I am sick and tired of dealing with iburst.

I sent through new logs on the 13th (using ginggs suggestion) they don't even have it listed in the call, then I spoke to them on the 14th (Friday) and the and they said they were working on it. Just spoke to them now and they have no record of the email or that I spoke anyone after the 12th.... since the 12th was the last time I spoke to someone called Charles.....

HOW USELESS CAN ONE COMPANY BE?????????
