Hi guys,

I'm sure this has been asked before so apologies if I'm repeating.

I wanted to know if iBurst 3G Wireless is any good for gaming? I currently jam BF4, MW2, Borderlands 2, Starcraft 2 and also getting Reaper of Souls.

Centurion - Eco Park Estate, I'm told, has excellent coverage so I wanted to know what kind latency/drops I can expect.

I'm currently on 8ta 3G which also has really good coverage but has been pretty much awful with BF4 for the last 2-3 months.

Thanks!

I have used iBurst for gaming in the past, in an area with average coverage. Its usable.
The latency was around 60ms (iburst technology itself seems to add about 30-40ms); this was to a server hosted in Jhb, playing from Pretoria.

The downside was occasional 'lagg', but that could just have been because signal strength was not that great (around 80-90% using an external antenna)

I used to game using iBurst and the #1 thing that got me was consistency of the service. It seemed really eratic at times, and I was right under a tower.

I've also tried using an MTN connection and in honesty it suffered from pretty much the same issues. Maybe my location is just bad somehow!
