Yes PPPoE is selected. I'll just call Linksys tomorrow morning and see what they can do for me...

Milomak: Yip it is the WRT54GL router and the standard firmware is on. Not sure how to flash the router using a MAC....

First off, the CD that came with the router is to make the setup "easier". Mostly its just a pain and I dont like it.

The web interface is where it all happens on the WRT54GL and that includes flashing it with a new firmware. That is unless you install OpenWRT, then its command line linux most of the way!!!.

To flash this baby, login into router. go to administration and select Firmware upgrade. Then you just select the firmware, and hit the upgrade button. This can take some time. After that your router will be upgraded.

Thanx for the in-depth support bud! Will go get my new UTD modem tomorrow and will hopefully sort everything out!

DD-WRT quite interesting, I instaled v.24 mini beta. Is that good enough for home use? There were so many different versions..

I got my new 2nd hand modem today for R950 (previous one got struck my lightning..)

Flashed router with DD-WRT and everything is running perfect! Only prob is that my iPhone won't connect to the router, but i'll work around that....
