Hi there

Was thinking a bit...

Wouldn't things have been better if iBurst approached the so-called "rogue" WISPS and agreed on a few things...

Seeing that any WISP can expand quickly and easily without the need of mongo expensive base stations, why didn't iBurst started their own WISP section, especially for those potential customers stuck in areas where it is not economically feasible to install base stations?

Also, iBurst then can offer their customers two connectivity options - either via the traditional iBurst UTD router/modem with high speeds and a capped account, or via a cheaper, slower, uncapped wifi connection. I am sure there would be a lot of people who will be happy with a slower uncapped wifi connection than have no internet at all.

This would have won them many customers.

But instead they chose to attack the WISPS and upset a lot of customers...

That idea might have worked before, except they've burnt those bridges now and I doubt that any of the "rogue" <-----( wbs/iBurst's term for competition) would want anything to do with wbs/iBurst.:p

This is going to be an interesting year as the battle continues with pricing and other offerings from the various ISPs and the land line operators.
