Clearly something is wrong with International connectivity on the Iburst Network. Even the helpdesk acknowledge that and tell us it will be resolved tonight.

But where is the incident report???

There have been great improvements in Iburst's communication levels over the course of the year, but all that good work seems to be falling apart.

The quickest and most effective way to piss off your clients is to leave them in the dark. Catch a wake up, Iburst! Communicate.

I totally agree with you. I've been having problems with Intl since Monday morning. I doubt if it will be resolved "tonight" as that is what they told me yesterday.

Mine got worst today, browsing pages is only using 6kbps down, it failed the 1st time I tried to load google :(

You got it bad.... I wonder when they will fix this issue?! Mine is OK with browsing, but downloading files are only at 7kB/s.

That makes sense. i kept on wondering if I had inadvertedly used all my bandwidth.

Well I have good news. My download speed seems to be back to normal now at 80kB/s. Do any of you guys still have the problem?

(I just hope mine stays this way now)

Mines downloading at 10KB/s, so I suppose it is better but I think Iburst should compensate or something like say they shouldn't count whatever we download towards our cap until the problem is fixed :)

What are the chances of these happening:D

I think its only fair since my parents are paying for a 1mbps connection & we're receiving a "permant dial up connection" :)

lol, they only seem to put things on the incident report which are fixed within a day or a few hours. The prolonged degraded connectivity issues dont really make it. I mean if they put this up when it started like with most isues then they would have to leave it on there unsolved for about 4 days, which would look bad.

Well my speeds are going up again, still not normal but 45KB/s is way better than 10 :D

A lot better I'd say
Telkom
Your line speed is approximately 547.4 Kbps or 67.1 kBytes/sec

That as far as I am concerned is BULLS**T! All incidents should go up regardless of duration and negative exposure.

Yes, but of course. You see the thier "logic" behind it hough, they probably just say: Ahh well, its not our network giving probelms so we'll leave this one out. lol.. Leaving customers in the dark again though.. great idea.

But usually they do post almost everything, so maby it is just a case of backsliding like this post suggested.

Not entirely. If people would just learn to pick up the phone and call them, they'll be happy to inform them if there's a problem. Mostly they only report base station outages or coverage degration in a certain area.
