In theory you cannot do that if your contract is still in force, check: "4 Charges" in the "terms and conditions":

A debit order is an agreement between you, the (account holder), and a 3rd party (i.e. the beneficiary); whereby you give the 3rd party authorisation to regularly debit your account. Banks are not directly involved in negotiating the debit order; the contract is between you and the user, where the amount debited may be adjusted by the user himself. If you wish to amend or cancel the debit order, you need to notify the user.

yep you pretty much don't have **** to stand on...

Anyhow my contract expired 2007/01/01 so right now I'm on a month-to-month contract so there is no ways they can fek me over... unless they decide to slap me with a R5000 bill of 2 modems or something like that...

Or if they feeling nasty slap you with a huge bill for each and every MB over the cap assuming you go over your cap.
(I'm assuming you do go over your cap, if not then disregard the above)

Just make sure all payments are up to date according to your bank statements when you cancel, as thats when they have a sneaky habit of saying you owe them money and cancellation will not be accepted unless you are paid up to date.
