What is iburst capping meant to be? I have a 1 gig account + the extra 500mb... according to the bandwidth monitor i've used 1.47gigs and have nothing left and now Im capped....

1.47GB = 1505MB. The package is a 1500MB package and not a 1.5GB package.

Ja, it's something like that, might be 1GB + 500mb too, I haven't bothered working it out.

But that should be the right one, seeing as they gave us 500mb extra onto 1GB.

You don't get exactly 1.5GB. I think 1.47GB is about 1500MB since I also start with a ".47" value and not ".50"

If you look at the iburst website, the package is 1500MB and not 1.5GB. So they didn't add 500MB or 512MB to 1GB.

well then i expect 1500meg not 1470meg :P

1470MB is not 1.47GB but infact 1.43GB

AFAIK you have 1GB package + 500MB. This would equate to about 1524MB ( but iBurst might think of 1GB as 1000MB so that would actually be 1500MB). Now 1.47GB is ( as seen above ) 1505MB so it looks like you just got 5MB for free ( according to your data meter )

But they did, we all used to have 1, 3, 6 or 9 Gig accounts, they then added 500mb as a bonus. Later they changed it again to make it a bit less by now counting your initial amount in mb that weren't converted properly.

However it only makes a significant impact on the 6G or 9G accounts where the 500mb bonus is almost halved.

EVH - they clearly didn't add 500MB to 1,3,6 or 9GB as shown by the fact that the packages are 1500MB to 9500MB. If you get the email it will state so quite clearly at the bottom.

the above is based on my experiences with my month to month contracts. those who signed 24 month contracts when they came out with the extra 500MB on top of their G packages might have a different experience.
