iBurst charging customers for after-cap data?

According to that, it seems that people on the 40Mb contract gets charged for bandwidth usage beyond 40Mb.

How true is that rumour?

on the website is says "will be charged for out of bundle bandwidth, pro packages will merely be throttled" - so maybe they will charge... great ploy actually for all those poor people who actually signed up for the 40MB package.

I doubt any 40mb subscribers are active here, it's almost your whole cap to check MyADSL every few days.

It should work the same way as all iBurst's hard capped products, you get cut off at 40mb then have to buy additional data.
