iBurst connect to Newsgroups??

Problem : www.newshost.za.net lets you download nzb files then download the content via a program called GrabIt! Works nice with ADSL, not iBurst! Very frustrating - to top it of, the tech support at iBurst doesn't really know what i'm talking about! "Newsgroups?"
Anyone know how to access newsgroups through iBurst?
One guy at iBurst gave me the closed answer - to enter nntp.uunet.net as the newsgroup server. Doesn't work. Neither does news.is.co.za or news.saix.net
Any solutions ? Or alternatives? Torrent files from isohunt.com also VERY slow! It will take me 19 days to download a 700Mb file...
Maybe a local (South African) torrent server?

You can use UUNET's (now verizon) newsserver, it works fine. But a newshost isn't generic, it's specific to the ISP. You can't just use nbz's from newzhost.za.net (IS's host) and expect them to work on another ISP, simply because you can't connect to other ISP's newsgroup. It's a little more complicated, but I'm guessing it usually won't work for you.

You can surf what available on uunet through grabit. The address is nntp.uunet.co.za btw.

Sign up for an easynews account. Its an overseas usenet supplier. You will have a username and password to put into grabit or whatever news app you choose. www.easynews.com, its cheap and effective.

haha, well you're right, but the uunet server is pretty out of date, you can't expect to use most of those NBZ's on there. From what I saw and tried anyway.

I don't think many people use it at all...
