Iburst & CS Source

k, this might have come up before but how does a 100% iburst do with CS Source cause my tower is about 1Km away so I'm not sure signal gets much better & normal download speeds are always >80KB/s so I'm guessing tower is not conguested :) Will CS Cource run decent or do I just not even bother?

It could run decent... im guessing with your signal you should be able to play after hours, rather dont bother during the day.

I dont think its something you shouldnt even bother with, but it might also not work, so just try it out, theres a good chance it will work fine.

I have never played a FPS local, mostly because you have to buy the games original for those SGS servers, but I even played some international FPS and it sort of ran okay, so local CS:S should be fine.
 
You will hate yourself for playing CounterStrike over iBurst if you are anything but a casual non-interested CS player.
 
^ lool, well yes probably. But I just checked out the servers and I got a 89ms ping to the JHB one.. not the SGS server, but the other one. cant remeber its name, Game-something.

This doesnt sound bad at all, but I think the spikes and inconsistency pla ya much bigger role here. But i dont even have a good conection so im shure some guys might be able to play fine.

That's me. So please help: mine says my version doesn't correspond with the server's. So where is the update for the new version? So ofcourse, i don't know the line to see what version i even have... :(
 
Well are you using an original CS Source that automatically gets updated by steam?
 
You cant play on the SA servers without an original. Or without finding every update on the internet somewhere for the cracked version, which is very hard.

Thats is why someone has started setting up a cracked server for SA, under the gaming section here somewhere, its very recent. Hopefully it works out, il be on there.
 
Just tried HL2 deathmatch on the SGS server & was going at a steady 90 ping which i suppose is playable but it chews cap :(
 
Only 90 hey? I even got in the 80's on a week night, saturday should be easily around <80 on the best server.

But the cap is a problem, I'll just stick to MMORPG's and DOTA and all that...
