Hi,

was anyone else experiencing problems last night?
All evening i kept getting to the 'Connecting through WAN Minport (PPPoE)' mesasge and then the redialing screen would come up. This is consistant with what was happening last week when the service kept getting dropped every 3 minutes.
If no one else was having problems like mine, could someone please explain what may be causing this, i haven't installed anything new on my machine since the weekend and it was working fine then.

Thanks in advance
Steven

;)
I've been having problems as well, but i can eventually connect. LAst night i couln't get on at all.

I have had a better week so far, last week was a nightmare. But I have had a few random dropped connections today & slower international downloads. But still seems to be improving each day

I have to agree with you, alchamy.
Last night I had an amazing 13 hour run with iBurst, thats a record for me!
But still down on D/L rate.

Hmmm, maybe the problem is on my side though i don't know what could be causing it.
I'm getting a "676: Phone line is busy" error message.

The systray icon tells me that i have 100% signal and all the lights are on (but no one's home), so my machine must be talking to the device.
Anyone have any tests i can run to check that i am actually getting to the device?

Thanks

Steven

It could be the tower your connecting to that is the problem, check with the helpdesk. (Although they sometimes have no idea that a tower is down completely)

Also I found that the new firmware does make a slight difference when it comes to stability. So if you have not yet upgraded make a plan to get hold of the new firmware from WBS.

Thanks alchamy.
Whatever the problem was/is seems to have disappeared this morning.
I tried to take your advice regarding the firmware updates, but it looks like they may be updating as i get a 'page not found' error. Driver download is fine though.

I'll keep trying the firmware page and see how that goes.

I haven't heard anything from WBS about new firmware, I looked for it on Monday (I think) on iBurst.co.za - nothing new at all.

How is it that I've not heard about this from WBS - they don't call, they don't write, have they broken up with me & just haven't told me, what's going on with WBS?

Added: Actually I backtraced & discovered that I looked at iBurst.co.za on Tuesday after Dorris' post: Sentech beats the burst

It looks like you guys are having fun now, too. Its a good thing for all those that moved across from Mywireless, at least they know how to resolve the problems ( past experience). Start a CUG.

Its amazing how the problems at Sentech have disappeared:)

Apologies for lengthy downtime with Forest Hill base station. There are issues with it which we are struggling with. We had hoped this would have been resolved today, but not to be.
