Hi all,

My neighbour has just put up an aerial so that he can get better reception on his IBurst.
My signal on my DSTV has gotten worse since it has been put up.
Are the two related?

Thanks

hmmm, i would not know, but that does seem suspect to me. Cut his cable and see if it makes a diff :-)

His dish is probably in the direct path of the iBurst signal, attenuating it and causing speed drop.

I don't think they could really be related. iBurst uses radio frequencies while DSTV is satellite. They shouldn't conflict although technology is a strange thing. ;)

a techie aligning my dish once said the signal works at a 45 degree angle. So if his new antenna is in the direct path of your dish it could probably cause a drop in signal strength. As trees and such can also cause problems.
