iBurst expands coverage but leaves present customers out cold

I got iBurst just over a year ago. The speeds were brilliant! I could play WoW to my heart's content all day if I had the time. Then...something happened, iBurst wanted more customers (fair enough) at the detriment to their existing customer base (not a good idea). Now when I phone the support line due to a 960kb email taking 45mins to send...over a period of 3 hours due to smtp time outs, this is how the conversation goes:
Me: Hi, is iBurst experiencing tech problems in Northriding/Olivedale?
Techie:What is the problem?
Me: My 960kb email is taking forever to send.
Techie: Have you got an aerial?
Me: No, I have full signal and my speed late at night is very good.
Techie: Have you got the correct MTU settings?
Me: Yes.
Techie: Then you need an aerial.
Me: No I don't. My signal is fine, it seems though the base is loaded.

So expect that to be your only response...aerial or mtu settings...even though you get great speeds between 23:00 and 05:00 I do however need to sleep sometime as I have my own company and can not afford to sleep at work like iBurst's support staff!

If you are reading this to make your mind up if you want iBurst...run, run fast and wide from this company that is about to become as tainted and terrible as Sentech was/is. Do not even think of signing with them, you will regret it eventually!
 
HAHAHAHA, the iBurst helpdesk operator's guide:

1. Ask if they have the correct MTU settings? If Yes, goto 2.
2. Tell client they/he/she/it need(s) an antenna. If the client objects, goto 1.

Saves a million bucks on paper! :D
 
Just think of all the times we've seen these answers from iburst help desk staff, it's the only 2 things they've been "trained" to say and to think they don't even know what they're talking about.:rolleyes:
