Well it is technically, sometimes. But all depends on signal, which you will always get, but not neccesarily strong.
Most of the time it will be slightly faster than 1mb, but not even for international most of the time. It wil also probably end up with worse pings most of the time, even though MyADSL guys recently said it got better international pings than ADSL. Not shure how this is possible. But most importantly the price of data is crazy. R499 for a gig, only slighty cheaper if you buy a bundle.. hmm its a bit much for real internet use.
I dont think you have to write off Iburst because of Halicons bad experience. Just try it out for yourself, it could just work really well for you and then youve got a great option in Iburst. You can trial it for a week and give it up if you dont like it, so why dont you just give it a try.
