Pinelands was originally on the list of sites to be erected in Cape Town when iBurst first started but was removed from the future coverage list. I now see what look like an iBurst antennae on Garden City Heights so is Pinelands finally getting good iBurst coverage?

When I look at the coverage map in Pinelands there is no option for future coverage.

The best will be to have a techie come out and test your signal strength. It's the only way you'll know for sure.

I know one person with iBurst in Pinelands , and they use their connection without an antenna. However during the daytime (the only time I've seen the connection) it only gets about 3 bars on the UTD, and speeds aren't that great. It is still usable for them though.

But depending on your location I would assume that an antenna could be used to set up an acceptable connection.

Like GBM said, the best would be to get an on-site test to see the actual performance you will recieve.

Strange as from Thornton (which is right next to Pinelands) I get full signal at a friends house just as fast or faster than from my house in Plumstead.

Maybe it's all those trees in Pinelands blocking the signal, try putting up an antenna above tree height.
