Ok. Received a call from Portia at the helpdesk saying that there were technical problems on the Roodepoort tower last night that were fixed this morning. I will test tonight and see. Can anyone confirm whether they had the same problem. My signal comes from Little Falls side or perhaps randpark

hehe - Sounds like a similar kind of thing. Could be that I'm colour-blind too? 
I will see if the helpdesk's explanation holds out tonight. I still suspect some kind of time constraint settings at the base station which has something against my UTD, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

Same thing last night again. I contacted the helpdesk and they informed me that there was a problem.
Later on, the UTD did indicate a full signal again. I still could not connect. Now that is a bit different. This morning, it was the same thing - Full signal indication on the UTD but no connection.
Then switched UTD off and on and it flashed from full signal to nothing, then back to full, then nothing and carried on doing this for a while before showing no signal again. Now I'm not sure if my UTD is going wonky or if there was still a problem on the Roodepoort base station?
