Has anyone managed to get Iburst to work on any version of linux especially Fedora Core 5? PLease advice.

I use it on FC5 behind a router. I suspect you just need to setup a PPPoE connection. I'm in windows at the mo but will check when i boot into linux

I've got my Debian box on iBurst. Its just like ADSL in that it uses PPPoE to make the connection.

Look for a program called pppoeconf and you should be alright.

I'm assuming you are using Ethernet to connect to the modem

yes i have tried to connect but it gives me error cannot start the connection i have a pcmcia convertor to my desktop. I have the laptop utc but use it on my desktop via pcmcia convertor and works fine in windows. But i will give it another shot however i will then try to install suse on another box and see what it does. Any suggestions?

I maybe talking utter BS here but is your device detected by the OS, you can find out by posting your lspci output.

Also what steps have you taken to try and get it to connect?

i tried that driver but it still does not detect it, and yes u r right the device does not get detected by suse or fedore core 5 any suggestions
