Iburst on the East Rand

howzit i am in Rynfield area in the same road as old benoni sport field and i am connected ... but signal is bit on the low side ..

well thats what they told me aswell ...

but i get about 50-60% service quality.... with an external antenna ...
if you in doubt gimme a few beers and i can bring my unit the check signal quality ... and only if you promise not to stalk me hehe

okay, so the fact that you live on the East Rand and your nick is Nissan 350Z should be funny right?

You east rand guys are all about suped up cars etc right?

Oh, and I cant help you at all as you can tell, except that there arent really any basesations around you, and connecting with a low signal is never realyl a great idea, you just get a worse and worse connection as the BS gets more congested, its worse if you are further away.

But im shure at the rate Iburst are going there might be a tower up in your area soon..

err nope i am waiting for a tower in Rynfield for 6 months now ... iBurst has been pomissing me that for quite some time ....

only tower that we " Rynfield " can connect to is in Kempton Park

Oh, damn.. I knew my logic might fall through somewhere. And I thought watching Staright Outta Bennoni (terrible movie, truly trrible) wouldbe enough..

Well, yes. It could also take forever, but they have been putting up alot of towers around JHB latley as least.

Nissan 350Z,

I live just behind you, up in drumstreet. When I first moved here, last June, I had no signal at all. Then got an external antenna (just like a tv antenna) installed on the roof. Had basically 100% coverage (antenna pointing towards Kemptonpark). Left my house in August, came back late October to find I only have 50% coverage now. I burst is really starting to ennoy me! The planned coverage map always stays the same for Rynfield, but no new towers are installed. Try to get support from Iburst, good luck, very unhelpful.

yeah i will be moving in Dec. and i will be doing away with my K@k-burst and move over to adsl .....
