I own a USB iBurst modem. Getting a Desktop replacement so that I can just use the ethernet is not an option. I have downloaded the Windows 64-bit drivers (v340) from iBurst's website, but I can't seem to actually get the driver running. I've run it in Administrator Mode - the only thing that happens is that the circle-loading cursor comes up for a moment and then nothing.

I have tried using Universal Extractor to pull the drivers out of the v340 file, but the only thing it gets is a corrupt image file. I've tried the extractor on two other drivers (v336 and v347) and they unpack without a problem. I did try the v336 driver, but it doesn't work either.

Do I just have a bad Windows 7 64-bit install here? I just got the computer running nicely and would be loathe to do a reload. Or is this possibly just a general problem? I haven't come across anyone in the same situation (in my skim of google) - most driver problems seem to be on 64-bit XP and Vista. iBurst's driver page itself says that it does not support XP and Vista 64-bit for the modem, but there are specific drivers for Windows 7 64-bit.

Any ideas?

I used the Win7 64 bit drivers that came on the disc with my 2Mbps modem, installed them and everything works 100%.
But I have heard of others having hassles with the 64 bit drivers from iBurst, and also used the redball drivers with no issues.

I have Windows 7 64Bit and not the dashboard works but the drivers does work. So i had to setup a dail-up to connect to the internet. I also downloaded the drivers and dashboard drivers for Iburst site but still does not work. Pc was reloaded a couple of times.

Hi
This is a great forum thanks for the ideas and suggestions. I live in Midrand and have used an iBurst 1Mb desktop modem for a few years now (relatively OK apart from a bit slow and very intermittent when raining!). I have an external Poynting Antenna which I put up about 18 months ago which helps dramatically.
I upgraded some time ago to the new 2Mb Kyocera modem but after an initial attempt at an install I gave up due to lack of time.
I have been playing with it recently but cant seem to find a driver for the modem on the iBurst web site and the www.redballinternet.com site no longer seems to have the driver(s) mentioned in this thread?
The Kyocera site says it no longer supplies iBurst info or drivers?????
Any suggestions on where to get a driver for Windows 7 and the 2Mb Kyocera?
Whenever I try to do something the Dashboard responds with "No response from Modem?
Thanks in advance
