I own a USB iBurst modem. Getting a Desktop replacement so that I can just use the ethernet is not an option. I have downloaded the Windows 64-bit drivers (v340) from iBurst's website, but I can't seem to actually get the driver running. I've run it in Administrator Mode - the only thing that happens is that the circle-loading cursor comes up for a moment and then nothing.
I have tried using Universal Extractor to pull the drivers out of the v340 file, but the only thing it gets is a corrupt image file. I've tried the extractor on two other drivers (v336 and v347) and they unpack without a problem. I did try the v336 driver, but it doesn't work either.
Do I just have a bad Windows 7 64-bit install here? I just got the computer running nicely and would be loathe to do a reload. Or is this possibly just a general problem? I haven't come across anyone in the same situation (in my skim of google) - most driver problems seem to be on 64-bit XP and Vista. iBurst's driver page itself says that it does not support XP and Vista 64-bit for the modem, but there are specific drivers for Windows 7 64-bit.
Any ideas?
