Im very unhappy and dissapointed in iBurst. Before I ordered iBurst a couple of months ago, I phoned iBurst and spoke to an operator about some techicals about iBurst. He reassured me that iBurst was great for online games (even real-time games like World of Warcraft and Battlefield 2) and is maybe even faster than adsl. I also visited their website which also said that iBurst is great for online games. I then went ahead and purchased a 24-month 3gig contract. I was very happy with my internet speeds where downloading and general surf is concerned. A week or so went by, when I tried some STRATEGY games (like Warcraft 3) on LOCAL servers, and the lag and delay was terrible. I then phoned iBurst to rectify it, and they told me a level two techition will phone me back. A week of waiting went by, and I contacted them, and again they said a level two techition will phone me back. I have since heard no reply from any iBurst people.
I try to ping local servers such as saix, and my ping is around 200-400ms which is slower than a regular dail-up 56k modem. I am in a "dark-green" coverage area (which is the best) and i download sometimes up to 90kb/s. Which is super! But my ping is terrible! I bought iBurst for online games, and now I am bitterly dissapointed. To get out of my contract, I was told, I must pay the outstanding fee. Which is like R15000. You can understand why I'm still an iBurst subscriber. I'm bitterly dissapointed in the poor service from iBurst, and their website at the time.
Does anybody have any advice for me on what I can do... And more importantly, what my position is?
Any help would be appreciated.
