iBurst Proxy errors for: rapidshare.de...

What are you on about Vipor Apprentice ?

I just visited that site via a proxy and it has nothing at all to do with pirated software.

RapidShare is an absolutely free web-hosting service for providing webspace on our servers without the need to sign-up.
Just select a file and upload it. You will get your download-link and a secret delete-link immediately. More infos in our FAQ.

Manual: This is a short manual introducing you to our free-service. It is our philosophy to offer new PC-users, elder humans and people having problems with complicated software or routers an absolutely-easy-to-use possibility to send files to other people.

If you choose to send other people illegal files, that's your indaba - this website in no way supports illegal content.

Also, original poster "iburstuser" - what makes you think it's iBurst blocking that site ?
I also can't access it via my DSL line (Telkom as an ISP) - unless, TADAAAAA, I actually put the www before the URL, like :-

http://www.rapidshare.de/

It's a DNS issue, don't be so quick to jump to conclusions unless you have some knowledge of how networks and the internet functions.

Maybe it's because Rapidshare is bad for you.

You know sharing pirated software is illegal don't you?
VA, you're saying that WBS should decide what sites you can and cannot browse in exchange for the R600 or R700 per month that we are paying them?

If you ask me, you'd better find your asbestos undies quickly...;)

^

^^^^ - look at my previous post before this turns into another "flame war / series of groundless accusations / huge long rant about piracy"

bb_matt, I did read your post, my point is somewhat different, VA is saying that it's acceptable for an ISP to determine which sites you can and cannot use, whilst that's VA's own opinion, it is unlikely to sit well with anyone else that's paying their ISP loads of bucks each month...;)

I wasn't referring to you ic, just trying to get people to read before jumping onto the bandwagon of "ISP's blocking content"

You tend to find that on forums, people jump into the middle of a discussion, pick up a few stompies and run with that, which ends up with entire discussions being derailed - not that this is a discussion, but rather iburstuser making the mistake of assuming he's being denied access by an ISP and the other oke jumping on his high horse of morality.

i cant iburst into it... can adsl okes get into it? however, i can lynx into the site from my american server:

yes exactly matt, it is a dns issue, and if anyone bothered to read the cache message:
The following error was encountered:

* Read Error

The system returned:

(104) Connection reset by peer
that would have been obvious fromt he start, trust me if they were gonna black sites they would black ones way higher up than that one

i got a different reply. 0 bytes returned. and i read it clear enough

thats the same as read error, when end of file is recieved before any data

Lemme guess, MS ISA server and MS dns ? It happens to me at the office, if i dont put in the www then it brainfarts. From home ( all linux based dns & proxy) it doesnt happen.

Anybody willing to check if they ms products for their servers?

for the record, with or without www the wbs squid proxy error comes up

this is just too much from their side...i think we should all start cancelling this cr@ap Iburst because is just so totaly uselessssssssssss.......They can block my ass because i blocked their debit order....and give them 30 days cancellation period....ill rather stick yo not connecting to net at all because it gives me less headaches....

how about you cancel it, I don't even visit that site, and even if i did i wouldn't cancel my iBurst cuz I couldn't access it.

I'm with matt on this, I really really doubt WBS is blockign access to this site
