iBurst s.....l......o.......w in Centurion

My iBurst connection is so slow, I'm thinking of connecting my P990i as a 3G modem to my pc - this is seriously pissing me off.

Can't even access my mailbox via Outlook, just times out.

Worried that I might like the speeds and cancel my iBurst subscription.

Sounds to me that iBurst has had more than its share of woes due to the recent storms in the area. Midrand went down for a short while last night - actually, to be precise, it slowed down until it finally died, and then the tower stopped transmitting entirely. No signal for 10 minutes or so, then the tower came back up and all was fine again.

Yes, but it was sunshine outside when I lost connection to the tower. I think there are too many people on the tower now (it's in Highveldpark) and that's why service is so poor.

Getting itchy to whip out my E220 modem that I won @ the MyADSL conference....

Yes, 3G will only be feasible if you get the 1GB package (R499) - and that effectively means I'll have to cancel my iBurst subscription.

Still in two minds about what I should do...
