I received the e-mail (copied below) this morning which appeared to have been sent from the Iburst Helpdesk. I noticed that the e-mail address seemed different from the one I quite often use: [email protected].

This e-mail was sent from: helpdesk@Iburst <[email protected]

I also noticed that the Iburst logo and contact details were missing and that the grammar used was not up to standard. I immediately queried this with Iburst Accounts and they confirmed that this was indeed a scam and that they never sent this e-mail. I am just wondering where this person got the database info on Iburst customers and secondly, will Iburst communicate this to their customers to be aware of such scams.

According to e-mail address, looks like kid was typing and sending this letter. [jb.kids#earthlink.net]

The dumbass fraudsters forgot to include a line for username. The password is meaningless without a username.

The username and password are both meaningless without the correct modem. :) iBurst accounts are locked to a specific modem serial number.
