iBurst Setup...

Hi there,

Any techies out there able to help me out here?

I've just setup my iburst modem on my pc at work via usb and am having some issues here...

Whenever i connect to the internet my modem connects and i can browse the web, but my pc's network connection stops working....

as soon as i disconnect the iburst the network connection works again...

any ideas how i can get them to both work at the same time?

Hi TrueTenacity

What is the IP of your Network connection. This could be clashing with your virtual network connection that the iBurst installation creates.

You can also try re-installing TCP\IP. You might have a corruption on that.

Could be that it works as intended.......by your network admins, for *security* reasons. Ours are exactly like that. Any other network connection (3G, iburst, Dialup,etc) drops the local network (can still print, email), until you disconnect. We do a lot of customer support via dialup modem (yes, we do....) and it's a bitch if you can't see your source code which resides on a Unix box on the local network , whilst dialed in to a site. Maybe we're working for the same place

That IP will not clash.

Have you tried a repair of your TCP\IP protocol?

Have you tried adding another network connection?

My network places>View network connections>Create a new connection

I had to this with my home network to get the LAN and iburst (USB) to work.
